" The time you spend at your job to pay for an item" I have used this philosophy, but in a different way depending on how much the item is and how long that item will last. It's lifespan, so to say in my life, if it is more than a dollar a day, is it worth it? How I used to ask myself. And for me, this would work, because sometimes it wasn't worth the investment for a short-term joy, than a long-term useful item/joy.

I need to stay away from Publix BOGO excluding cat litter. I have enough laundry detergent and toothbrush to last a year.

Going through Beryl and losing our electricity for 3 days (when it was only a Category1) was ridiculous. Still, I cannot bite the bullet and buy a crazy expensive generator. Have you thought about a generator just strong enough to keep your refrigerator going and maybe cooling for one room? I am exploring options too!! Thanks for this video, Jenn!!

I have a question??? When you do the NO SPEND DAYS, is that for the items that are not budgeted for? Or is it SPEND NOTHING. I am doing a NO SPEND and it is time for school shopping. I am a bus driver and while sale and coupons are here is when I buy supplies to help my bus children family for supplies. Thanks for sharing ways of saving.

Power was out for us for a week, however a $1000 generator worked just fine and beat the $20k generator price. Something to think about!

When I was shopping for my daughter’s birthday presents I used that question “where is this going to go?” We just downsized in homes and I don’t want the house to overflow 💗 I love buying craft kits and supplies for this reason, use it enjoy it and throw it away haha

When I try to justify buying something "because it's on sale", my husband likes to remind me that "it's not a sale if you weren't going to buy it anyway." 🙃 Having a rational husband can be annoying at times.

You could buy different dice such as 4 sided, 6 sided, 8 sided, 10 sided along with another 10 sided so that when you roll both it would count from 2-100, then there's a 12 sided dice, 20 sided dice, 30 sided dice, and also 100 sided dice. You can buy these from a dungeons and dragons site. It would help you in what you want to roll.

New to this. Thanks for the video. Am I supposed to budget for every expense, ex school pics? I currently have an envelope for every expense for the year. But my husband's checks are bigger than mine so my cash isn't enough for all of the necessary kind. How do I handle that?
